1. Infrastructure and Security

Data Centers

BuildSpace runs on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure in multiple regions. Our hosting and service providers are selected for strong security practices; many publish their own certifications (for example SOC 2 or ISO 27001)—ask us if you need vendor-specific assurance for procurement.

Security Measures

  • End-to-end encryption for data in transit and at rest
  • Multi-factor authentication and role-based access controls
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • 24/7 security monitoring and incident response
  • DDoS protection and web application firewalls

2. Service Level Agreements

Uptime Guarantees

We provide the following uptime guarantees based on your plan:

  • Starter Plan: 99.5% uptime (best effort)
  • Pro Plan: 99.9% uptime with service credits
  • Enterprise Plan: 99.95% uptime with enhanced SLA

Service Credits

If we fail to meet our uptime commitments, eligible customers will receive service credits as compensation. Credits are calculated based on the duration of the outage and applied to your next billing cycle.

3. Data Management

Data Backup and Recovery

We maintain automated backups of your data with the following retention periods:

  • Daily backups retained for 30 days
  • Weekly backups retained for 12 weeks
  • Monthly backups retained for 12 months

Data Residency

You can choose the geographic region where your data is stored and processed. We support data residency requirements for compliance with local regulations.

4. Compliance and Certifications

Industry standards

We design and operate the platform with widely used security and privacy expectations in mind. Formal certifications and attestations can apply to us, to our subprocessors, or to how card payments are handled—contact us for the latest detail if your procurement team needs it.

  • Security and access controls aligned with common SOC 2–style themes
  • Data protection practices aligned with GDPR expectations for EU users
  • California privacy rights handled in line with CCPA/CPRA where applicable
  • Card payments processed through PCI-aware providers (e.g. Stripe)—we do not store full card numbers

5. Resource Limits and Fair Use

Usage Limits

Each plan includes specific resource limits to ensure fair usage:

  • Bandwidth and storage limits per plan tier
  • Build time and deployment frequency limits
  • API rate limits to prevent abuse
  • Concurrent connection limits

Fair Use Policy

We expect all users to use our services reasonably and in accordance with their plan limits. Excessive usage that impacts service quality for other users may result in account suspension or upgrade requirements.

6. Incident Response

Monitoring and Alerting

We maintain 24/7 monitoring of our infrastructure and services with automated alerting for any issues that may affect service availability or performance.

Communication

During service incidents, we provide regular updates through our status page, email notifications, and in-app messaging to keep you informed of resolution progress.

7. Disaster Recovery

Our disaster recovery plan includes automated failover to backup systems, geographic redundancy, and regular testing to ensure business continuity. Recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO) vary by plan tier.
